On Saturday, October 3, 2026 De Delftse Tandartspraktijk is once again participating in National Dentist Day. On this day, dentists and oral health professionals throughout the Netherlands volunteer their time to help people who need essential dental care but cannot afford it due to financial circumstances.
We believe that good oral health is not a luxury. Pain, inflammation, or a broken tooth can affect your ability to eat, sleep, work, and socialize. That is why we are happy to contribute to this special initiative.
Every patient has their own story.
Sometimes financial concerns cause people to put off a visit to the dentist for years. What starts as a minor issue can develop into pain, anxiety, or embarrassment. During Dental Day, we look not only at the teeth, but also at the person behind the smile.
With care, respect, and without judgment, we provide essential assistance to those who need it most.
Dentist Day is intended for adults 18 years of age and older who:
During Dental Day, we provide emergency treatment only. Depending on the situation, this may include, for example:
Long-term treatment programs and cosmetic procedures
Registration is handled through a social worker or social service organization Food Bank Delft, Kessler Perspective, Financial Assistance Delft, Urgente Noden Delft Foundation
After registration, the situation will be assessed. If a person is eligible, they will receive a confirmation call with the date, time, and location of the treatment.
National Dentist Day is only possible thanks to the dedication of dentists, dental hygienists, dental assistants, front-desk staff, support staff, and community organizations.
Together, we make sure people can smile again without pain.
Because behind every smile there's a story.
